History of Artefact Worn by Sandra’s grandmother. She wore it a lot; it was one of her favourite scarves. It was probably a present to her from my grandfather. ‘He took extended leave in Paris after the war – I like to think he might have bought it from there. If not, he would have bought it in Aberdeen.’

Special Memories ‘My grandmother was very elegant, I wanted to emulate her.’
‘I feel dainty when I wear it. I was very fond of her. She was also Scottish.’
‘My grandmother also stored this scarf in a drawer in a wardrobe in her bedroom.’
