History of Artefact 'It's a lightweight jersey. It was worn by Bert Barlow who was a forward (a former Wolves player) – this is ironic because he was signed to Portsmouth in Feb 1939 and proceeded to beat Wolves in the FA cup final in April 1939 – he scored in this shirt!
The shirt was typical of the time, opened neck, rugged and made of cotton.’

Historian Richard Owen
Previous Owners Portsmouth Football Club, Bert Barlow, his daughter
Special Memories 'Bert Barlow's daughter washed it in 2001 before giving it to the club. '
