History of Artefact It was found in February 2008 underneath the floorboards in the bathroom. It would have belonged to the builder who built the house in approximately 1900. These were cheap and readily available. ‘They were sold in smaller quantities because people had less money. This is quite a common object. Very ephemeral and of its time.’ Historians
Historian John Stedman, Rosalinda Hardiman
Previous Owners Possibly the builder or one of his employees
Special Memories ‘It gives us a connection to the builders who also lived in our house. There have only been three families who have lived in our house.’
