History of Artefact	Barbara bought them for herself in Portsmouth. Used to wear them in the evenings from 1968 for a few years until they went out of fashion. Worn again in the mid-seveties for a Fancy Dress party.

Special Memories	‘I really enjoyed wearing them. They fitted nicely and I felt good in them. They were very popular at the time. Even children used to wear them to go to school! They weren’t out of the ordinary. I kept them because they were a memento of the time. They were expensive at the time - £15.’
