| History of Artefact |
‘Aunt Sylv owned and used it as a teenager. She gave it to me and it has been kept in a drawer ever since’. Historian - 'Ladies of the time used them to keep the sun of their faces. It was a standard parasol of the time. It could have been purple, brown or green originally.' |
| Historian | Katy Ball |
| Previous Owners | Aunt Sylv |
| Special Memories | ‘I was brought up by my aunt as a child. On special occasions I was allowed to play with it. It’s petite in size and really appealed to me as a child. It provokes imagery of playing as a child and I felt like a lady. Feels like magic and very special.’ |
