History of Artefact | This is the garment the Priest wears for Holy Communion on feast days. There is little known of the chasuble's origin. Mrs Elvin and Dr Lynn Hulse from the Royal School of Needlework identified it as being an embroidery from 1820. It is also thought to be a copy of a medieval design. |
