History of Artefact ‘Aunt Sylv owned and used it as a teenager. She gave it to me and it has been kept in a drawer ever since’.

Historian - 'Ladies of the time used them to keep the sun of their faces. It was a standard parasol of the time. It could have been purple, brown or green originally.'
Historian Katy Ball
Previous Owners Aunt Sylv
Special Memories ‘I was brought up by my aunt as a child. On special occasions I was allowed to play with it. It’s petite in size and really appealed to me as a child. It provokes imagery of playing as a child and I felt like a lady. Feels like magic and very special.’
