'Speed-weave' patent darner for darning silk, wool or linen (mainly used to darn socks). Wooden mushroom, row of steel hooks, instructions of how to use it also included. Chrome plated with brass needles. All contained in its original cardboard box. ‘British made’ inscribed. It cost three shillings and sixpence. All of this stored in canvas / woollen bag with the date 1941 stamped on it. Stamped with the broad arrow (government issue). |
