When closed it is 10.5 x 7.5 x 2.5cm.
Decorative cover – Vulgate Psalm 101 – ‘Hear, oh lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee’ is written in Latin.
Charcoal in colour.

History of Artefact It would have contained a series of psalms.
It came from the Orlop deck. A devout, religious and wealthy person would have owned the object and he would have died when the ship sank.
