Artefact Description	Leather bound with silk ties. When closed it is 10.5 x 7.5 x 2.5cm. Decorative cover – Vulgate Psalm 101 – ‘Hear, oh lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee’ is written in Latin. Charcoal in colour.

History of Artefact	It would have contained a series of psalms. It came from the Orlop deck. A devout, religious and wealthy person would have owned the object and he would have died when the ship sank. ‘There were no women on board the Mary Rose. There were several youths found on board – the youngest was eleven.’ Andy Elkerton
