Artefact Description Large iron box, painted dark green. 3m x 80cm approx. The box still contains electric cables.
Portsmouth's crest embossed on the front of the box.
Poor condition.

History of Artefact Designed uniquely for Portsmouth, with the crest of Portsmouth on the front. It was used until recently as Portsmouth used to generate its own electricity before connecting up to the national grid.
It was buried two feet under the ground at Monkton Road, Portsmouth.
